BAN Vs NZ: FIRST ODI

NEW ZEALAND Vs BANGLADESH

BANGLADESH TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND 2019 | FIRST ODI | McLEAN PARK, NAPIER | BAN Vs NZ | February 13, 2019 @ 6:30 AM IST|

After the home series against India, New Zealand will host Bangladesh for 3 ODI and 3 Tests. New Zealand was crushed by the Indians in the ODI format except for the fourth ODI, thanks to the heroics of Trent Boult. But New Zealand managed to win the T20 series 2-1 against India and they may wish to continue that form.
Bangladesh lost the practice game against New Zealand XI by 2 wickets and they might have things to ponder upon. Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Sabbir Rahman contributed with the bat. Their top order failed to get runs. Mustafizur Rahman was exceptional with ball and he might be a real threat to the Kiwis in these swinging conditions.

TEAM INFO:

·      Shakib Al Hasan has a broken finger and is not in the squad.
  • Taskin Ahmed, another fine pacer for Bangladesh is also in the grip of injury.
